It belongs to a little white-haired older lady named Kay. I found a phone number printed on her check book and gave it a call. She sounded so panicked. It had medical cards, her ID, credit card and other valuables inside as well as the $300.
Twenty minutes later she met me at the Farmer’s Market (where I found it/am working today) gave me the biggest hug and told me how much trouble I just saved her. She absolutely insisted on giving me some of her funds no matter how much I insisted on taking them!
Point is, seeing her smile and feeling her relief when she hugged me and knowing she won’t have to struggle to obtain all of her goods again made my entire day.
